Almost Heaven Film Lab (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates almostheavenfilmlab.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our site, place an order, or create an account, and how we use it. We're a small, one-person lab — we collect only what we need to develop and scan your film, ship it back to you, and run the business.

Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and (if you sign in with Google) the basic profile information Google shares with us — your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Order information: shipping and billing address, phone number, film types and quantities, scan preferences, and any notes you leave for the lab.
• Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number — only a payment confirmation and the last four digits, as provided by Stripe.
• Communications: messages you send through our contact form or email, and order status notifications we send you.
• Membership and discount data: if you join a membership plan or use a discount code, we store the association between your account and that plan or code.
• Basic technical data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure for security and troubleshooting.

How we use it

• To process, develop, scan, and ship your film orders
• To create and maintain your account and order history
• To send order confirmations, status updates, and receipts
• To respond to questions sent through the contact form or email
• To administer membership plans and discount codes
• To detect fraud, abuse, or invalid discount code usage
• To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or share it with data brokers.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that help us run the lab and the site:

• Supabase— hosts our database and handles account authentication, including “Sign in with Google.”
• Stripe — processes payments and refunds.
• Resend — delivers transactional emails (order confirmations, status updates).
• Shipping carriers — receive your name and shipping address to mail back your negatives, scans, or prints.

Each of these providers only receives the information necessary to perform their service and is bound by their own privacy and security obligations.

Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google to create and authenticate your account. We do not request access to your Gmail, contacts, or Google Drive, and we do not post to any Google service on your behalf. You can review or revoke Almost Heaven Film Lab's access at any time from your Google Account permissions page.

Data retention

We keep order and account information for as long as your account is active, and as needed to satisfy tax, accounting, and legal requirements afterward. You can request deletion of your account and personal data at any time — see “Your choices” below.

Your choices

• Access or update your account information from your account page
• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Request that we delete your account and associated personal data
• Unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time

Children's privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site or our tools change. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
